I wish so badly that I had not cut the lace on this wig, so I could return it. That’s my bad.
What can I say, except I’m not sure what this wig will work for. I bought it originally for a Lestat cosplay and discovered immediately that it won’t work for that. It’s much too thick, especially on the top, to look natural for any character who wears their natural hair down. In addition to that, the forelock is positioned very strangely. It doesn’t matter how far to one side I try to skew the hairline – that piece still falls heavily into my face, and is so heavy that it can’t be styled back without a lot of product, which ruins the needed semi-natural look even further.
At first I thought, no big deal, I’ll just use it for Glinda instead, and do it in a half-up style. Wrong again! This wig is so thick that it looks unnatural even then, and requires far too many pins to keep it in place.
Since I’m stuck with it now, I’m going to do some serious wig surgery to try and remove some of the wefts and extra bulk, but it remains to be seen how well that will work. The fact of the matter is, it won’t work as-shipped for… Much of anything. I’m really not sure what you could use this for where it wouldn’t look exceptionally “wiggy.”. Hugely disappointing, because it looks from the photos like a great option for both characters, but it just doesn’t work at all in practice.
